At the Goulburn Basketball Stadium, nothing could split the two division one women's teams after one quarter, as they went in all tied up (16-all) at the first break.
The second quarter followed suit, as the scoreline stayed close before the Bears scored the final four points of the term, to lead 30-26 at half-time.
The hosts maintained that four-point advantage going into the fourth, before six quick points by Bears' Abbey Emmerton stretched the lead to 10.
Behind tough defence, the visitors clawed it back to four points with 50 seconds remaining before a late Naomi Lucas free-throw sealed the hosts' win.
In the loss, seeing the Tigers end their season with a 1-9 record, Charlotte Balzer and Mary Jane Toole top scored with 14 points.
