If you commute or travel through Moss Vale Road there's some upcoming roadworks you need to know about.
RMS is advising residents and motorists of upcoming roadworks on Moss Vale Road along Cambewarra and Barrengarry mountains.
Work is being done to stabilise the slope on Cambewerra Mountain, repair road shoulders and clear drains and gutters.
"Crews will use special tensioned rock fall mesh and bolts to secure the slope with the aim of reducing the severity of any future rock falls and improving safety for all motorists," the spokesperson said.
Moss Vale Road at Barrengarry will be closed between 8pm and 4am on Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 July between Bunkers Hill and Myra Vale Roads.
Moss Vale Road at Cambewarra Mountain will be closed at nights from Sunday to Thursday for six weeks from Sunday 4 August between Tourist and Kangaroo Valley roads at Cambewarra.
Detours for light vehicles during night closures will be through Kangaroo Valley Road and Tourist Road, taking an extra 15 minutes, with larger vehicles having to take the Illawarra Highway and Princes Highway.
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists to plan their journey ahead of time and follow the directions of signs.
