The request for participation in the Rotary "Pride of Work" program was enthusiastically embraced by local businesses nominated by Rotarians.
As a result, the nominated recipient, along with their business representative and family members were invited to dine with Rotarians and their partners to receive their awards.
The objectives of Rotary's "Pride of Work Program" are to promote vocational service, encourage pride of work in all vocations, provide employers with an opportunity to recognise employees who display the qualities worthy of an award, encourage favourable employer/employee relationships and a sense of community pride in individual achievement; as well as provide an opportunity for Rotary to be involved in the business community.
From the citations and the glowing remarks made on the night, it was very apparent that all these employees had one philosophy when dealing with the public - "you don't get a second chance at first impressions."
The award ceremony took place during a special function arranged by Rotary Nowra at the Bomaderry Bowling Club.
Congratulations to the winners and their sponsoring businesses.
