The Nowra High School student finished with the bronze medal in the women's 100m para race at the 2019 Oceania Athletics Championships in Townsville.
In her first time wearing the green and gold of Australia, the 16-year-old, who has enjoyed a strong past 12 months which includes two gold medal at last year's Australian All Schools Championships, clocked a time of 15.46 in the final to secure the bronze.
She finished third behind fellow Australian Alexandria Eves (16.67) and New Zealand's Libby Leikis (16.61) - due to their classification ranking.
Nauru's Jenitta Daoe (30.33) finished in fourth.
Symonds will now shift her attentions to the upcoming NSW CHS and All Schools carnivals.
