The launch was celebrated with a long-table lunch for chefs and producers. Director of the festival, Sam Tooley said it was a milestone for events in the region.
"When people come, they're going to experience something they have not experienced in this region previously," he said.
"We're passionate about the fact that Southern NSW has such good product coming out of it in terms of food and beverages, and the talent that brings that product out is very under-recognised."
The festival will showcase more than 50 exhibitors, and feature performers, masterclasses and long-table lunches.
The Grey family, of The Pines Micro Dairy in Kiama, are one of the producers featured. Mahlah Grey said they were "thrilled" to be approached, and the festival was a good opportunity for producers to share their stories, as well as their produce.
