When it comes to helmets, there's a difference between comfy and comfortable. Comfy is what you feel when you place a nice fitting helmet on your head in the shop. Comfort is what you're looking for throughout a multi-day ride. Comfort comes from a proper fit, quality build and good aerodynamics - and the new Shoei has them all.
Ventilation is what won me over with the GT-AIR II. Shoei has managed to find a way to make this helmet remain cool in summer and warm in winter. In warm weather, the vents located on the chin bar and top of the helmet direct cooling fresh air through internal channels. In winter, with the vents closed, the aerodynamic shape and spoilers direct air away from under the chin and around the neck.
Shoei has taken all the feature you've come to expect from a modern touring helmet and wrapped them in a sporty-looking shell. The GT-Air II wouldn't look out of place on the racetrack. It is also ready to accept the integrated Sena SRL2 intercom system.
