A child has died after an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rolled on a private property north of Nowra on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to a property on Devitts Lane at Meroo Meadow, about 15 kms north of Nowra, just after 11am after reports of a crash.
Police have been told the ATV was being driven by a 10-year-old boy, with a 19-year-old male passenger, when it lost control and flipped, trapping the boy underneath.
Witnesses were able to free the boy and treat him until the arrival of paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene.
The 19-year-old male passenger was treated for shock and taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.

A child has died after a quad bike accident at Meroo Meadow, south of Berry.
Emergency services were called to the private property at Devitts Lane around 11.30am on Monday, June 10 after reports of a quad bike accident.
Police found a child at the scene, who had died as a result of the accident.
A crime scene has been established and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
