That's according to Roads and Maritime Services, who have released an online journey planning tool.
The tool uses previous years' traffic data to predict traffic volumes, to help people plan their trip.
Southbound traffic on Saturday is predicted to peak at over 2000 cars per hour, about 200 vehicles more than average for the time of day, according to the tool.
Northbound traffic on Monday is predicted to peak between 2500 and 3000 vehicles per hour, about 1000 more vehicles than average for the time of day.
Roads and Maritime Director Operations Anna Andrews said lengthy delays can be avoided with this prediction tool that will help motorists plan ahead.
"We are trialling this prediction tool to help road users prepare for the traffic peaks and troughs on known travel hotspots in NSW," Ms Andrews said.
The online tool will show travellers expected traffic volumes on our highways from this Thursday through to the following Tuesday.
The tool is available at https://myjourneynsw.info/. Users can click on the start and end travel dates, and their direction of travel, to show the relevant traffic volume information.
