Beyond the Clothes Swap will be held on Saturday, August 3 at Groundswell Church from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
The clothes swap will see $20 ticket holders receive a big bag to fill with pre-loved clothes and accessories.
Cynthia King is oganising the evening for Beyond Blue and said it's a cause that holds significant meaning for her.
"One in four people are affected by depression which is a huge number of people in one room," she said.
"I've been the wife of someone going through depression. My husband struggled in our first year of marriage and I was only 20 and I avoided him because I didn't know how to handle it but that's not what he needed."
Cynthia is hoping to have a spokesperson from Beyond Blue attend the event and said it will be a place for people to connect.
"We need to bring awareness to the issue, and talk about it, so we can help people earlier," she said.
A silent auction will also be held on the night. Clothes can be donated up until the week before, with the stockpile already looking good.
"We've had heaps of dresses donated, and another woman who had lost heaps of weight donated all new, expensive gymwear," Cynthia said.
Donations can be made on Monday and Wednesday between 10am and 2pm to Groundswell Church, 161 Prince Edward Avenue, Culburra Beach.
Tickets are $20 and can be pre-purchased from the Groundswell Church Facebook page. Five dollars from every ticket will go to Beyond Blue.
