The club has a prize pool of $13,700 for the event, spread across five categories, with many offering a prize for winner, runner up and local.
The rules are strict however - any aspiring competitors would be well advised to check the club's website, and ensure their outfit is up to scratch.
Judges Neil Grigg (milliner to the stars), Britt Tamou (racing ambassador for Townsville and wife of Penrith Panthers player James Tamou) and Sally Martin (racing ambassador for ACT for Thoroughbred Events Australia) all have a keen eye for the perfect ensemble.
Sharon Lenton of Thoroughbred Events Australia will return as MC.
Ms Lenton said deportment, style and a smile were always in fashion.
"Though it is a competition, everyone is a winner that goes into fashions and should be treated with admiration," she said.
