This week's round opened with St Georges Basin FC First and Reserve Grade Ladies White travelling to Vic Zealand Oval to take on Shoalhaven Heads Maroon. Reserves let an early goal through, however came back with a more settled game with goals from Amber Grainger and a header goal from Amber Parry after a well-placed corner kick from Denae Coventry. Final score, 2-1 win for Basin.

First Grade ladies found themselves 2-0 up early in the second half with goals from Ebony Smith and Jess Bendall but were unable to hold out the intensity of the Heads girls, eventually letting two through for a 2-2 draw.
Reserve Grade Red took on Culburra at home and secured an impressive 5-1 victory. Sarah Devries and Jess Madden both netted themselves two goals each with Robyn Glasson getting the 5th.
Wednesday night saw Under 15 boys take on United with a 10-0 win. Coach Justin Barutha commented that Rory Meyer scored a particularly impressive goal. The boys have now been moved up into A grade and are looking forward to the challenge. Under 17 boys took on Illaroo at Sharman Park. The boys went down 8-2 with coach Alan Shakir advising that Byron Ross had a fantastic game in the centre back.
Thursday night saw the first of the men's games kick off with Over 35s winning 6-1 against United. After a quick first goal got through Basin's defence, the team rallied and lifted their game. Mark Foggin, playing in a new position, scored 2 goals whilst ex-United player Pete Roth scored a hat-trick. Danny Shaw scored a single with a great header. The team remains at the top of the ladder.
Saturday saw first and third grade men take on Manyana with reserves having a bye. After a see-sawing first half, the thirds went into the half-time break at 0-0. Around midway through the second half, Manyana finally beat goalkeeper Col Crangle to post the only goal of the match and that turned out to be the winning goal. In a tough game, Dayne Spalding and Nick Able had strong games playing as the two centre backs, while Elaan Duffy continues to improve on a weekly basis and also had a strong game.
First grade finally got the better of their bogey team, Manyana, whom they have not been able to beat in the last three seasons, winning 3-0. The Basin Dragons were undisputedly the better team on the day, according to co-ordinator Paul Cubbo. Goal scorers this week were Tim White, Connor MacQueen and Tyrone Nye-Williams whilst keeper Sean Peek continued his good form with another clean sheet.
Under 13s had Monday night games this round. U13 Boys B White team went down 0-6 to Huskisson despite several good attacks whilst U13 B grade Red team dominated their game against Culburra with an 8-3 win. 13 Boys A team held out Callala for a 1-0 win with most players having come off a two-day rep gala weekend. Under 13 girls came back from a 0-1 deficit at halftime to secure an impressive 2-1 victory with goals from Olivia Bugg and Saphira Webber.
