Despite winning their first two fixtures at Rugby Park, three tries to Vikings Tom Sawden, as well as other five-pointers to Josh Heggie, Brandon Gee-Mooi, Simon Watts, Liam Antrobus and Paul Henshaw put an end to that streak - as Sawden landed two conversions.
In the loss, the Shoals lone try was scored by Ava Rabiotaga, with Mark Brandon converting it.
Other first grade results saw Bowral edge Campbelltown 36-21, Avondale smash Kiama 55-12, University scrape by Camden 24-22 and Shamrocks thump Tech Tahs 50-11.
It was a tough day for Shoals in the lower grades too, with Vikings smashing them 87-25 in second grade and 28-nil in thirds.
The one victory for the Shoalhaven on Saturday came through the Vincentia Van Goghs, who defeated the Southern Crushers 28-nil.
Next up for the Shoals is a trip to the Kiama Showground to play the Cows.
