After a slow start by the hosts, in which fullback Tom Atkins was taken from the field due to a head knock, it was his replacement Dylan Morris and Cam Vazzoler that set up Ethan Ford for the match's opener in the 13th minute left the left edge.

Half Vazzoler converted for 6-nil.

Despite significant defensive work and pressure from the Stingrays, the Knights doubled their advantage when Hamish McLauren hit Callan Thistlethwaite with a perfectly weighted cutout ball.

Vazzoler failed to convert from the eastern touchline and the score was 10-nil after 32 minutes.

Four minutes later, the Knights had their third - Vazzoler decided to run on the last, where a quick exchange of hands from Tom Angel and Ford put Jay Delaney over to score in the left corner.

Vazzoler pushed the sideline conversion to the left and the score was 14-nil.

The red, black and whites weren't done for the half, with skipper Kieran Poole using his pace to score the side's fourth in the final minute before the break.

Vazzoler missed his third conversion of the afternoon and at half-time it was 18-nil.

The onslaught continued straight after the break, as Morris juggled the Stingrays first bomb of the 40 minutes before stepping through their whole defensive line to run 70 metres and score under the sticks.

Vazzoler converted for 24-nil.

Five minutes later, centre Ryan Timbs scooted out of dummy-half from within his own half and ran 60 metres to score.

Vazzoler converted for 30-nil.

A flat pass from Vazzoler then set up Poole for his second of the afternoon in the 52nd minute.

The half continued his strong run with the boot and the lead was 36.

Minutes after being denied his second for a knock-on, Morris scored his second long range try in the 56th minute.

Morris' second was followed in quick succession by tries to Delaney, Poole, Vazzoler, Morris and Alex Boles - with Vazzoler converting four of those tries, to make it 68-nil at full-time.

In their third straight win, the hosts were led by Tom Angel, Poole, Morris and Luke Chalker, who was playing his first game for the club, while Liam Quinn, Will Homer and Jimmy Scott did all they could for the Rays.
