The Superoos five tries to three win was their first at the Sharks home ground, since the latter returned to Group Seven in 2014 - which came on the back of a superb defensive effort, with both sides going into the game missing some vital players and losing players during the game, however nothing can be taken away from both teams efforts in blustery conditions.
The Sharks jumped out of the blocks, with prop Juvilee Samiu charging onto a short pass near the line to crash over beside the posts.
Matt Carroll converted for a 6-nil lead.
To their credit, the Superoos were able to hit straight back, when, on the back of a Sharks error, second-rower James Gilmore showed good footwork to score wide out.
Dean Watling converted with a great kick to lock up the scores up at 6-all.
Jamberoo were playing with plenty of confidence with the strong breeze at their backs and clever kicking from Brocky Skelly and Jono Dallas pinning their opposition in their own half and it paid dividends when Corey Grigg showed great strength to force his way over.
In the 30th minute, a superb run from centre Jake Clarke left the Sharks defence in tatters and his inside pass found Watling backing up to dive over and convert to give the Superoos a commanding 16-6 lead.
As quite often happens, the side on the back foot managed to gather some momentum and with just a minute left in the opening half, Carroll's grubber-kick rebounded off a defender and the Sharks skipper was on hand to touch down and close the gap to six.
The second half was a see-sawing affair and it was a great ball from Nick Greenhaigh that put second-rower Wayde Aitken room to move and he sprinted away to score out wide.
Carroll landed a superb conversion via the upright to level the scores at 16-all.
With back-to-back tries and the wind at their backs, the Sharks would have been expected to power away, but underestimated the determination of the visitors and some Dean Watling magic, who bamboozled the defence with a deft step gave his team the lead again - before Mark Asquith showed great strength to power through three defenders to score out wide.
While Watling was unable to convert either try into the wind, the eight point lead proved too much for the Sharks to overcome.
In a total team effort, Brock Skelly, James Asquith, official Man of the Match Mark Asquith, Kyle Stone and two-try hero Dean Watling were among the Superoos best, while Juvilee Samiu, Nick Greenhaigh, Kiran Tranter and Wayde Aitken were best for the Sharks.
