The red and yellow flags will be brought down for the final time on Sunday, April 28.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a hazardous surf warning for this weekend, with strong southerly winds and swells of up to 3.5metres predicted.
Surf Life Saving NSW CEO Steven Pearce says this could put pressure on already stretched volunteer patrols on duty for the last weekend of the season.
"Sadly we experienced several drownings over Easter and we are hoping for a safe end to the season this weekend," he said.
He also paid tribute to all the volunteers who have patrolled across the state this season.
"I'm incredibly proud of the efforts of all our members who have performed with vigilance throughout the season," he said.
"This is a brave and selfless community service we perform and I sincerely thank every volunteer who has contributed to saving and protecting the lives of others."
