A 52-year-old Culburra Beach woman was airlifted to a Sydney hospital with a broken leg after falling off the Penguin Head headland in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The alarm was raised around 3.30am on April 7 when a male at the location witnessed the woman falling from the clifftop.
NSW Ambulance, NSW Police and members of the Culburra Beach Rural Fire Service attended the location.

The woman was found on the rock shelf below the headland.
Due to her location it was decided to call the Toll NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter to airlift her from the area.
The woman was stabilised by paramedics at the scene and treated for a broken femur and other injuries before being airlifted to St George Hospital.
