Last year was no exception. With the help of Currarong Community Association the Freemasons raised $8,000 to help the SYO continue their good work, giving the youngsters an opportunity to practice and play in an orchestra.
The Freemasons have also been regular supporters of " Relay for Life" by way of direct cash donations.
On the wider front, the Lodge supports a number of state wide Masonic charities.
"A Start in Life" is one such Masonic charity which provides funds to support young Australians whose families are experiencing financial difficulties in meeting their children's educational and general living costs. Through "A Start in Life", they also directly sponsor a student by paying for his educational and living costs.
They donate funds to The "Whiddon Group", another Masonic organisation which focuses on people, community and well being in ageing, and is involved in research and developing much needed programs and services to care for older Australians.
They also make annual donations to the "Royal Freemasons' Benevolent Institution", a not-for-profit provider of aged care services which operates 23 residential care villages, 21 retirement villages and a range of home care services throughout NSW and the ACT.
