SHOALHAVEN duo Tara Rudd and Chantelle Downey have both been named in the NSW Country Thunder squad for the upcoming under 17 female State Challenge, to be held next month at the Raby Sports Complex.

Ulladulla United's Rudd and Bomaderry's Downey will compete for the Thunder side, from April 17-18, against the Country Sixers side, as well as the NSW Metropolitan Sixers and Thunder sides.
Each team will play three Twenty20 fixtures, with the first and second placed sides playing off in the final in the last fixture of the State Challenge at Raby Oval number one.
Joining the Shoalhaven pair in the squad is fellow Greater Illawarra product Kayla Burton, as well as ACT/Southern Districts' Clare Levings, Jade Allen, Julia Bassett, Caitlin Galeano and Elizabeth Coper-Jones, Riverina's Gabbie Sutcliffe and Ebony Hoskins, Western's Katie Letcher, Newcastle's Maddie McGuigan and Central North's Deni Baker.
