Members of Sing Australia Vincentia are tuning in their voices as they prepare for a major regional event.
They will be joining up with other Sing Australia groups from Moruya and Bateman's Bay, as well as members of the public, for an afternoon of singing and friendship making.
The singing celebration will be on Saturday, April 13 from 1pm to 4pm at Uniting Church, Beach Road, Catalina opposite Catalina Golf Club.
Members of the public who would love to have the opportunity to sing are invited to attend.
The cost of attending is $10 and includes afternoon tea.
Sing Australia is a national network of singing groups promoting singing as an inclusive, everyday act available to everyone.
They sing familiar and new songs. Its members form lasting friendships within a supportive community.
The singing groups share their infectious love of singing with the broader community, performing in significant events and special places throughout the year.
Groups and members also connect with each other through national gatherings and tours.
Founder and National Director of Sing Australia, Colin Slater OAM, said singing brings people together.
"We know from our 20 years experience in bringing an accessible form of singing to the Australian community that thousands of people have found a positive connection and happiness by belonging to Sing Australia," he said.
"We decided that we would celebrate the work of our organisation by creating a special day where all our groups can come together all around Australia at the same time as well as inviting the public to join us in the various locations.
"We are very proud of our significant achievements – we currently have 105 groups with a membership of around 4,000 members with a presence in every state and territory."
