On the back of playing a starring role for the Australian team at the 2018 Indoor Hockey World Cup in Berlin, Shoalhaven Heads' Kyah Gray was named the Senior Female Indoor Player of the Year.
During the last calendar year, Gray also helped her Illawarra South Coast team win the state indoor title before recently returning from a stint playing with the Namur Hockey Club in Belgium.
While Gerringong's Hockeyroos star Grace Stewart took out the Senior Female Field Player of the Year, after guiding her NSW Arrows side to glory at the last ever Australian Hockey League.
Other major awards on the night went to Courtney Schonell (Junior Female Field Player of the Year), Lain Carr (Junior Male Field Player of the Year), Matthew Butturini (Senior Field Field Player of the Year), Grace Young (Junior Female Indoor Player of the Year), Jack McCann/Nathan Czinner (Junior Male Indoor Player of the Year), Kurt Ogilvie (Senior Male Indoor Player of the Year), Wendy Trudgeon (Female Masters of the Year), Trevor Dancer (Men's Masters Lifetime Contribution Award), David Ross (Fred Sewell Umpire Award), Simon Vimpani (Men's Master Representative Player of the Year), Jemaya Staines (Junior Female Umpire of the Year), Cooper Alderton (Junior Male Umpire of the Year), Kristy Robertson (Senior Feamle Umpire of the Year), Zeke Newman (Senior Male Umpire of the Year), Matt Apps (Volunteer of the Year), Kim Monaghan (Official of the Year) and Katrina Powell (Coach of the Year) - with Illawarra South Coast and Necastle taking out the Championship Junior Girls and Boys Associations of the Year respectively.
