The artist's work will be on display at Mountain Ridge Winery on Saturday, March 16. Invited by owners of the winery, Tom and Pip Davies, Mr O'Brien said he was looking forward to exhibiting in the region he draws so much inspiration from.
"Tom and Pip have a love for the arts and wish to support local artists," he said. "[Their] vision and philosophy is about sustainability and support for the Shoalhaven area."
Prior to his move to the Shoalhaven, Mr O'Brien's work was made up of coastal scenes and landscapes, but that quickly changed when he met the relaxed nature of the South Coast.
"Since moving where I am following another love of mine, which is boats and connecting them through land and sea," he said.
Mr O'Brien has hosted solo shows in Canberra, Wollongong and most recently, Shoalhaven City Arts Centre, with an exhibition titled 'My Second Home'.
"I titled it [that] not knowing we would be moving here and becoming our second home," he said. "I'm so happy to be invited by Tom and Pip to be exhibiting and showcasing art in my new home."
