A statewide Total Fire Ban has been declared for Tuesday, February 12, the NSW Rual Fire Service says.
The service said the ban is due to: “Hot, dry and very windy conditions across NSW.”
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts temperatures up to 35 degrees and winds up to 50 kilometres per hour for Nowra on Tuesday.
The service urged people to think about what they will do if their home is threatened by fire.
“There are difficult and dangerous fire conditions tomorrow … (ask yourself) when will you leave, what will you take and where will you go,” the service said.
In August last year, there were seven major fires in the region from Nowra to Bega, including the Kingiman fire.
