No, it wasn’t supporting a specific cause, but instead celebrating a special new arrival.
Bakery owners Sandra and John Reminis’ daughter Meghann and her husband Shane Davis welcomed a baby daughter, Maggie Joan into the world on Monday evening (February 4).
The Reminis’ first grandchild.
“If you can’t have a bit of fun at such a time I don’t know when you can?” Mr Reminis said.

The bakery was a sea of pink with pink bread, sliced sandwich bread, French sticks, bread rolls, scones, sponge cakes, cupcakes. And anything that has cream in it was also included - vanilla slices, apple turnovers, eclairs, neenish tarts and butterfly cakes were all part of the celebrations.
The tough as teak former Shoalhaven Rugby Club front rower, universally known as Remo, showed his softer side as he glowingly spoke about the new arrival.
“It was all a bit of fun,” Mr Reminis said “And the pink items have walked out the doors.
“The number of people who came in and grabbed something pink, be it bread, cakes or scones was incredible.
“They all loved the concept.”
However, the man famous for his wonderful pies, did draw the line.
“There were no pink pies, they simply had to get made too early,” he laughed.
A special delivery of pink items was also made to the Shoalhaven District Hospital on Wednesday morning to the mum and the new arrival.
“She (Meghann) loved the idea,” Mr Reminis said.
“This was just our way to mark and celebrate the special occasion. It’s not every day you get your first grandchild. And I’m sure Shane’s parents Greg and Julie feel exactly the same.”
Mind you such celebrations are nothing new, the Reminis’ Gerringong Bakery was transformed into sea of blue when John Jnr was born more than 20 years ago, the couple’s first son after three girls.
