ACT/NSW Country, featuring Ulladulla United junior Tom Engelbrecht, have rebounded on day two of the Futures League T20 series in Blacktown, with back-to-back victories to register its first wins of the tournament on Tuesday.

After Engelbrecht’s side lost to Queensland by 46 runs on Monday, it defeated intra-state rivals NSW Metro and the Cricket Australia under 19s team, on the second day at Blacktown International Sports Park.
On day one Queensland total of 9/168 was too much for the Comets (122), despite Engelbrecht’s 1/18 from his three overs and 23 from 20 balls with the bat.
The Comets put their opening day loss behind them though, to produce to wins within hours of each other on Tuesday.
The first came against local rivals NSW Metro, where the Comets chased down their total (5/154 to 4/153) with five wickets and four balls to spare.
In this match, Engelbrecht finished with 0/16 from his two overs and nine not out.
The Comets carried this form into a strong 3/159 to 7/158 victory against the Cricket Australia under 19s team – with Engelbrecht finishing with 0/30 and 12 not out.
The Comets will next face Queensland and NSW Metro on Wednesday before wrapping up their four-day tournament with another match against the Cricket Australia under 19s team on Thursday.
