Dempsey is set to headline a solo acoustic show in an open-air setting, at the Boyd Education Centre on Saturday, January 19.
He’s known to most as the singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of highly successful Australian band, Something for Kate, which released six top 10 platinum and gold records. But Dempsey has carved out the time to write music for his own solo project, which has been an incredible success.
Since then he has become renowned for his incredible voice and generosity on stage as a solo live acoustic performer, captivating audiences around the globe.
“I am really looking forward to playing at Riversdale. I'm always excited to visit new parts of the country and play in new places,” Dempsey said.
“I have never seen the Shoalhaven River before, I love outdoor events in picturesque locations and I love all-ages events so this is really ticking every box, it's going to be great.”
Having spent a jam-packed 2018 touring the world and writing new material for the forthcoming Something For Kate album, Dempsey will take to the stage at Riversdale, performing songs from across his vast catalogue.
