Racegoers filled the lawn for the twilight races ahead of the fireworks display later in the evening.
The first of seven races kicked off at 2.45pm, with local trainers Robert and Luke Price winning the opening event on the card, with Bulwark.
A downpour and lightening threatened the day, with the second race of the day delayed, however the show went on.
