The team struggled to match it with their country rivals, suffering four losses alongside a washout.
The championships opened with 50-over fixtures on Monday and Tuesday, with Greater Illawarra falling to Central Coast and Riverina. The loss to Riverina came despite a brilliant century to Dominic O’Shannessy.
A pair of Twenty20 fixtures against ACT Southern Districts and North Coastal followed on Wednesday.
Cooper Maddinson scored an unbeaten 77 to lead his side to 6/155 in the morning fixture, however ACT Southern Districts were able to chase down their target with three balls to spare. Fionn Parker was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2/20.
North Coastal then claimed a six-wicket victory.
The team’s final game against Central Northern was washed out.
During the week, Maddinson finished with 129 runs, at an average of 43, Ulrick scored 22 runs and claimed one wicket and Phillips recorded 18 runs and took two wickets.
