On day one, Matt Glyde’s 137 steered the hosts at the Bomaderry Sporting Complex to 329, before the Tigers bowlers starred on day two – despite wet conditions.
Evans’ 6/13 from 10 overs, including five maidens, saw the Magpies all out for 123 in the 59th over.
The top scorer for Berry was Alec Dobson with 44 while Matthew Barnes (2/17) and Glyde (2/41) both two wickets each for the Tigers.
The only other third grade match to get a result in round nine was at Lyrebird Park, where Nowra defeated Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens.
After Ex-Servos posted 184 on day one, Nowra easily passed the total, by reaching 217 in their first innings – buoyed by 45 from Luke Stevenson.
With the ball, Ex-Servos were best served by John Guscott (4/49) and Michael O'Brien (3/47).
Before rain interrupted play, handing Nowra the first innings win, Ex-Servos reached 4/32, with Stevenson taking 3/13 with the cherry.
The grade’s other two matches, North Nowra-Cambewarra and Sussex Inlet at Thompson Street Sporting Complex and Bay and Basin and Batemans Bay at Francis Ryan Reserve, ended in draws.
All three first grade Twenty20 matches were washed out, as was the case for all but one second grade two-day match – which Basin won on first innings against Bomaderry, thanks to a strong showing on day one.
