Speaking outside the Nowra Courthouse on Monday after deputy state coroner Teresa O’Sullivan delivered her findings into the toddler’s death, Mr Scotcher again offered “sincere condolences to the family of Troy Almond” on behalf of the organisation.

“We really regret what’s happened,” Mr Scotcher said.
He said protocols had been put in place to ensure staff were well trained in the NSW Government’s sepsis management policy and the management of deteriorating patients.
“We’ve put significant protocols in place to make sure our staff are well trained in the use of systems required to look after children who present to us with sepsis and that we work harder on identifying and managing that early,” he said.
He would not make comment on what had happened to the staff involved in the incident.
