Power, water and sewage are now a reality because of a grant made by the Veolia Mulwaree Trust to the Greenwell Point Mens Shed (GPMS) for this purpose.
After a number of frustrating setbacks and delays, this major aspect of the GPMS project has now been finalised and the shed itself is now basically completed.
GPMS’s oldest member John Parker was present for the switching on of the new lights, as was secretary Peter Talty.
John is 93 years of age and, like the new lights, is powering on.
Now it is on to the next challenge - to complete the concrete apron, the car park and the surrounds. This is another big job and any assistance with funding or materials would be greatly appreciated by members.
If you can assist please contact shed president Bob Williamson on 0438 268 391.
