The weather is getting hotter, we have gone past Melbourne Cup Day and are quickly approaching Christmas.
That means the inevitable Christmas party and gatherings.
It's all good and well to go off an have a good time, just remember to be careful with your alcohol intake.
Just say you go to a party, have a great time and unfortunately stop counting your drinks and overdo it.
You arrive home in the early hours of the morning and go to bed.
Four or five hours later you get up and head off for work.
At this time, you may feel pretty good, however the alcohol in your system has not been fully purged and you may well be over the limit.
Imagine how you would feel when you get pulled over by police, blow, fail and get arrested.
What happens to your job?
How will you support your family?
You do not have to answer these questions if you drink responsibly, don’t overdo it and allow plenty of time between your last drink and driving.
Know your limits - don’t become a statistic.
As always, in case of an emergency call 000. In non-emergencies call the Policelink on 131 444 or your local police station. To provide anonymous information call Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
