AUSTRALIA’S top stand up paddle boarders, including Woolamia’s Nathan Cross and Berrara’s Skyla Rayner, will congregate on the Gold Coast this Friday, for the five-day 2018 Australian Stand-Up Paddleboard Titles.
The event, to be held at Currumbin, will kick-off on Friday, November 9 with an opening ceremony and will run through to the following Tuesday.
The event will see 25 national champions crowned across divisions including SUP surfing, technical racing and marathon racing.
During the five-day event, Rayner will compete in the open women’s SUP surfing – an event she is the current NSW champion – and technical/battle of the paddle race, while Cross will take on the open men’s SUP surfing, technical/battle of the paddle race and marathon events.
Defending champions New South Wales will be looking to go back-to-back after winning the overall victory last year, closely followed by Queensland.
