From the always popular to the United Hospital Auxiliary Melbourne Cup event at the Bomaderry Bowling Club to the always fun race day gathering at the Nowra CWA, several great Melbourne Cup events were held.
The Children’s Medical Research Institute, over in Kangaroo Valley, had a double celebration.
The institute's committee celebrated its 60th anniversary and also held a well-supported Melbourne Cup event.
Vital funds were raised for good causes at both the United Hospital Auxiliary and Children’s Medical Research Institute events.
The Shoalhaven Turf Club also hosted a Melbourne Cup event which had winners both on and off the track.
People not able to attend any race day events no doubt gathered around their television and cheered their horses on.
