A large crowd took to Archer Racecourse to celebrate the race that stops the nation.
The Nowra meeting featured five races, but it was all eyes on the big one in Melbourne by the time 3pm came around.
Once again the Fashions on the Field competition was held, with an array of prizes across all categories up for grabs.
Racing fashion is always an important part of the race day meetings in the Shoalhaven.
There was no shortage of contenders, as both men and women dressed to the nines, made their way onto the catwalk.
There were three categories, with Jessica Willmer taking out the top prize for Elegant Lady, runner up was Nicole Wilson.
Sarah Crockett won the Magnificent Millinery category and runner up was Nerida Hicks, while Best Dressed Man went to Steve Hicks.
The next meeting at Archer Racecourse will be held on Sunday, December 9.
