The Bomaderry Hotel has been named as a finalist in three categories at the 2018 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence.
The hotel was selected as one of 10 finalists in the best casual dining venue, best sports bar and best pub TAB categories.
Bomaderry Hotel will be up against dozens of regional hotels from across the state, with the winners to be announced at a gala award ceremony next month.
‘Hotel Bomaderry’ came into existence in the 1920s, after the building was purchased by William Charles Parkes, who was then granted a licence.
AHA NSW CEO John Whelan said hundreds of nominations were received for this year’s Awards ceremony which honours the best hotels in the business.
“We had a record 630 nominations from right across NSW which really shows the quality of our hotels in regional areas,” he said.
“Pubs in regional and rural NSW really are the backbone of their communities and it is pleasing to see so many great country pubs nominated across a range of categories.
“I wish all finalists the best of luck and congratulate them on running terrific venues.”
