Genesis, a two-masted sloop, washed ashore on Sunday afternoon and has been at the mercy of the weather, and the incoming and outgoing tides.
It appears the vessel has broken its mooring before washing up on the beach at Vincentia.
It is understood the sloop, a Duncanson 37, is owned by a St Georges Basin resident.
Arrangements are being made to salvage the yacht.
Although the yacht doesn’t appear too badly damaged, the full extent will not be known until it is recovered.
And that could prove tricky, given its position.
It is understood a crane will have to be used to help removed the vessel.
