I mean copper, the chemical element with an atomic number of 29 and a symbol of CU.
It’s the ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. You know the one.
I googled the copper price and it seems that it is about $4 to $6 a kilo.
This price makes it tempting for crooks to target businesses that may have scrap bins or pallets of copper laying about.
If you have copper accumulating on your premises where it can be seen from the road or from a public place, you might consider placing it in a more secure location.
If you live next to a house under construction, be vigilant.
If you see any suspicious goings on next door when the builders have knocked off, just call the police.
By the way, the melting point for copper is 1,085 °C, the atomic mass is 63.546 u ± 0.003 u – now you know.
