The funding will allow council to erect plaques and interpretive signage.
The joint project with the Nowra CBD Revitalisation Committee the development of digital content for the Environment and Heritage Office’s Heritage Near Me mobile app. The app will provide a digital interactive guide to support the physical trail.
Key heritage sites:
- Berry Street: Nowra School of Arts, Roxy Cinema
- Junction Street: Posties, commercial buildings
- Plunkett Street: Heritage Conservation Area and the former rectory, All Saints Anglican Church, Nowra Public School, former teacher’s residence, former courthouse, Nowra Museum
- Kinghorne Street: NAB and Presbyterian Church
- Moss Street residences
