The mother of three died following the single-vehicle crash on The Wool Road after her vehicle left the road and hit a power pole.
Emergency services were called to the accident scene on October 14 just before 12.30pm after reports a car had collided with a pole, bringing down power lines and trapping the driver.
The woman, the sole occupant, was freed and treated by paramedics, however, she died at the scene.
Power was cut to area for a period of time as crews worked to restore connection.
Officers from South Coast Police District have started inquiries into the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Officer in charge of Nowra Police Station Inspector Ray Stynes said at this stage the cause of the accident was still under investigation.
“At this stage we don’t know why the vehicle has left the road and that is part of our investigations,” he said.
He urged any witnesses to the accident or anyone who had any information to come forward.
