As well as the men’s calendar, which has been published since 2012, this year the Shoalhaven Women in Sport Calendar will also be produced along the same format – taking the athletes out of their comfort zone and shooting photos off the sporting field, instead of on it.
Twenty four athletes are taking part, which has been a huge undertaking and the committee is hoping that the Shoalhaven community get behind their locals and support them in their efforts to raise money so that more research, support and awareness is developed around prostate cancer.
A number of beautiful locations in the Shoalhaven have been utilised for photo shoots, including the Shoalhaven River banks, Berry streets, Shoalhaven Heads beach, Callala Beach and the heritage Milton Bakery, to ensure that the calendar is representative of our athletes and our region.
The disease ranks as one of the highest killers of men and yet, if detected early, can be treated and cured with a very good success rate.
This year’s launch night will be held at the Nowra Golf Club on Friday, November 9.

Tickets for the night can be purchased through Eventbrite by entering ‘Shoalhaven Sport Calendar’ in the search field.
Alternatively, you can contact Cathy on 0400 342 309 for further information or visit the Shoalhaven Men in Sport Calendar Facebook page.
