BOMADERRY’S Jordan Haddow has been rewarded for his extraordinary Shoalhaven Football season, by taking out the first grade men’s Player of the Year, as well as the competition’s Golden Boot award, by scoring 28 goals (25 during the regular season and three in the finals) in 2018.

Other first grade award recipients on Saturday’s presentation at the Bomaderry Bowling Club were Gerringong (premiers) and Bomaderry (competition champions) – while the Breakers and Seagulls shared club champions honours.
League awards went to Gerringong’s Andy McNeil (women’s coach of the year), Huskisson-Vincentia’s Rob Hawker (men’s coach of the year), Illaroo’s Melanie Leedham (player of the women’s first grade grand final), Gerringong’s Matthew Lando (player of the men’s first grade grand final), Huskisson’s Lewis Archibald (Adam Federici award for men’s rookie of the year), St Georges Basin’s Atina Tetevano (Wendy McCarty award for women’s rookie of the year), John Guscott (Peter Leedham Good Guy award), Troy Harden (Referee of the Year) and Callala (Fair Play award – referees choice).
In the first grade – division one women’s competition, Illaroo dominated the awards, claiming the competitions championship, premiers and Golden Boot award (Amanda Carney) – with Huskisson’s Ricki Reid taking out Player of the Year.
Huskisson’s Samuel Duffy claimed the reserve grade men Player of the Year, after helping his side claim the competition championship – with Bomaderry (premiers) and Callala’s Thomas White (Golden Boot) taking out the two other awards.
In third grade men’s, Huskisson’s Jordan Reid (Player of the Year) and Nelson Bradley (Golden Boot) were acknowledged after helping their team win the premiership – as Culburra were named competition champions.
In the women’s lower grades, the division one – reserve grades awards went to Gerringong (competition champions and premiers) and Zoe Cook (Player of the Year and Golden Boot), while the division two recipients were Shoalhaven United (competition champions), Culburra (premiers) and United’s Shaylee Meehan (Player of the Year and Golden Boot).
While the over 35s men’s first grade awards went to Milton-Ulladulla (competition champions), Huskisson (premiers) and United’s Shane Button (Player of the Year and Golden Boot), as the reserve grade prizes went to Culburra (competition champions), Sussex Inlet (premiers), Shoalhaven Heads-Berry’s (Player of the Year) and Illaroo’s Ross McMahon (Golden Boot).
