Jacqueline Wilkes won the experience category with an image of the 'Bogey Hole' at Mollymook, Bayside Aerial Images's shot of Shoalhaven Waterways won the adventure category, Rohanna Holland claimed the business category with an image of Vincentia Butchery, the nature winner was Annie Colivas who captured the wildlife in Jervis Bay, Sally McLean's image of Jim and Robyn Wild of Jim Wild's Oysters won the person category.
Rohanna Holland won the place category with an image of Point Perpendicular Lighthouse and Gary Fishwick's image captured the joy children have taking gingerbread house cooking classes at Albert n Miso to win the food and drink category.
Milton-Ulladulla residents are invited to share the wonder and view 21 shortlisted and winning entries from the Seven Wonders of Shoalhaven.
To celebrate the Seven Wonders of Shoalhaven, all shortlisted category finalists will be showcased as part of a free, local exhibition in Ulladulla and Nowra, on Friday, September 21.
Over three weeks the art exhibition will be displayed in Rowen’s Arcade, Ulladulla and the windows of Commonwealth Bank in Nowra.
Hundreds of residents have engaged in Seven Wonders of Shoalhaven initiative by sharing creative entries that have captured the region’s diversity.
“The Seven Wonders of Shoalhaven demonstrates just how wonderful our region is, particularly from a local’s perspective. I’ve been so inspired to see our residents share their passion, along with all the reasons why we simply love the Shoalhaven,” Mayor Amanda Findley said.
“I can’t wait to take part in the judging and see the Shoalhaven Wonders exhibition come to life. It’s going to be tough, knowing we have so many wonders.
“The exhibition will be a display of community passion, which I hope excites and inspires many residents to explore our wonderful region, anytime of the year,” added Mayor Findley.
Viewing times at Rowen’s Arcade are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays. The exhibition ends on October 12. Entry is free.
The launch event for the exhibition is by invitation. However, outside of the 3pm to 5pm window on September 21, it is free and open to all.
