A North Nowra man charged with touching a woman’s breasts while travelling between Bomaderry and Kiama on a bus has been sentenced to 12 months’ jail.

Jack Boothman, 21, pleaded guilty to indecent assault before Magistrate Michael Stoddart in Nowra Local Court on Monday, September 3.
Boothman was a passenger on a bus travelling between Bomaderry and Kiama railway stations on January 23 this year when the assault occurred.
It was alleged he approached the woman and touched her breasts.
The bus driver contacted police and the bus was pulled over a short time later along the Princes Highway, near the Kiama exit.
Boothman was sentenced to 12 months’ jail from July 23, with a non-parole period of nine months.
A charge of damaging property was withdrawn and dismissed.
