FINALIST IN: Excellence in Retail and Personal Services, Excellence in Workplace Inclusion
Meadows Swim School has a threefold philosophy, owner Nichole Biggs says.
“Firstly, our mission is to teach students through building their confidence,” she said. “Confident children will take on most challenges. The journey for students should be fun, challenging and safe.
“Secondly, the school prides itself on being a technically-based program. Learning to swim well takes a number of years to perfect.
“We are the only swim school in the Shoalhaven to have produced state and national level swimmers.
“Thirdly, the school values communication at all levels, both positive and negative. We want the learn-to-swim experience to be a rewarding and happy one for all, from student to parent.”

Mrs Biggs said her secret to business success was simply to treat others in the way she’d like to be treated.
While the main purpose of the business is to teach children to learn to swim and build their confidence, Meadows is also a private swim school which teaches kids from six-months of age all the way right through to adults.
Meadows Swim School has also seen many squad swimmers excel, with some fantastic results over the years from school swimming all the way to the top level of Australian age group swimming.
