All three Valley RFS appliances responded to the bushfire in the Barrengarry area on Thursday after a lawnmower ignited the grass.
The bushfire threatened nearby houses and solar panel installations, but was quickly confined.
Brigade members spent considerable time extinguishing the fire and preventing re-ignition.
On its Facebook page, KV RFS officials said it was a great save by brigade members but also an example how easily a fire can be started and how quickly it can spread, even in relatively still conditions.
The brigade was recalled to the property a short time later when a tree re-ignited, but was quickly extinguished thanks to the landowner's vigilance and calling Triple-0 again.
With the weather being warm for the next few days, little to no rain and windy conditions RFS officials have asked people to review whether they really need to pile burn now and consider waiting for conditions to improve.
