Despite a very cold wind but bright blue skies we had 15 players here today at the Country Club, to contest a stroke and putts event and our Annual Captain versus President event, also this was another round of our Annual Eclectic. The Captain at the end of the day had his work cut out for him getting a result for all of this happening. T2 led the way with a net 32 for the nine holes, Weetbix was next with a 33 net on a countback from Rocket Ron more about Ron later in this journal. The Drive and Pitch was won by Rocket Ron as was the nearest the pin on the 10th and the 13th. The Putting Competition went to Craggy having only 15 putts for the nine holes on a countback. The Mars Bar went to the Mayor with an undisclosed score. The rest of the day’s result was, despite having a swinger for the vote, it was dead heat on 285 net between the Captain and President for the day. Next week’s game is at Vincentia hit off sharp at 8am.

Birthday girl Fae Lloyd gave herself an early present. Fae had 107/35 to win the gross, the medal and the overall Veterans. Fae also was NTP in the 3rd division. Kerry Coulter was the only other division 3 player to get a look in. She had the longest drive. Well done clever people. Val Kotlash had NTP in division 2, and Susan Finlay took the long drive in division 2. Julie Atlee needed just 29 putts to complete her round and win the putting ball.
Our numbers were down this week as a group of travellers were away winning on The Far South Coast. Robyn Campbell won an 18 hole event and Jenny Noden was R/u in the 54 hole championship as well as winning the 18 holes at Eden. Everyone else just enjoyed the beautiful sapphire coast courses.
