The day started with the division three Tiger men’s side edging out the Shellharbour Suns 3.14-32 to 3.12-30, behind goals from Andrew Mazey, Jeremy Owens and James McDonald.
Next up was the Tigers women’s side, who, despite trialling at quarter-time, ground out a tough 3.1-19 to 0.8-8 win against the Ulladulla Dockettes – with Kate Bramley, Maddison Pearson and Simone Seymour kicking the goals.
The final match pitted the Tigers up against rivals the Nowra-Albatross Vikings in the division two men’s competition.
Led by young guns Connor Clarke, Tyler Dunstan and Siwa Harvey-Aziz, the hosts ran out 11.14-98 to 4.2-26 winners.
In the win, both Jordan Matthews and Matt Polman kicked four goals each, as Andrew Lee (two), Connor Clarke, Terry Kager, Josh Lapatha and Nick Mackey also kicked majors.
The day also brought up two special milestones for the Tigers; Christian Mills played his 150th game for the club while father and son Trevor and Connor Clarke played their first game together at Artie Smith Oval.
In other news, the Vikings women's side lost 10.16-76 to 1.0-6 to Northern Districts.
