Shoalhaven City Council pontoons have been removed from the Shoalhaven River and transported to Sydney where they will be rented and used at the International Boat Show.
A large crane lifted 11 Nowra Wharf pontoons owned by Shoalhaven Council out of the water early Monday morning. International Boat Show organisers have rented the pontoons due to their diversity in being modular and easily movable for water events. This will provide a good return on investment which will be used to improve waterways infrastructure. The pontoons will be back in time for the Shoalhaven River Festival on October 27.
