The 2018 Coondoo Classic mountain-bike event for South Coast high schools lived up to its name and many strong performances were produced at the June 21 event.

It also looks as though attendance records were broken with heaps of riders zooming all over the place.
High schools like Nowra, Bomaderry and Vincentia all sent in riders to the event.
However, all eyes were on the team from Ulladulla High School and they looked to dominate the event.
Ulladulla High, with over 40 riders, sent up its highest number of competitors in the event’s history.
The recent rain had the Falls Creek track in near perfect condition and the riders tore around in fast and furious style.
Going fast was the order of the day but having fun was also a key factor in the day’s activities.
Sportsmanship was also a feature with competitors helping their fellow riders out and assisting them if they had any mishaps.
