THE Berry-Shoalhaven Heads Magpies showed why they are one of the top teams in the Group Seven under 18s competition on Saturday, when they easily accounted for the Gerringong Lions 42-24 at the Berry Showground.

The day’s scoring was started by the hosts when forward Charlie Parrish barged over, which saw the Magpies go on to lead 18-12 at half-time despite being a man down.
Despite the best efforts of the visitors, the black and white outscored their opponents 24-12 in the second half, to set up the 18 point win.
In the victory Billy Hayburn and Caleb Robinson both scored a double, with Charlie Parrish, Zack Hall, Max Lans and Jackson Ford also scoring four pointers – as Kealen Blattner landed five conversions.
In the loss, Tom Chandler (two), Denver Ford and Hamish Holland scores tries, while Holland landed four kicks.
The win moves the Magpies into equal third with Warilla-Lake South on 13 points, behind Albion Park-Oak Flats (18) and Milton-Ulladulla (16) – with Kiama in fifth on eight.
